And the in-game days, as well as hunger and crop growth rate, were slowed down just a lil (not to make the game easier, just to make full Ranches feel slightly less rushed for time). And/or there was an extra Vac slot upgrade. Maybe if they were much more rare, and the plorts were worth more like $3000 each. That'll hopefully change with some of the warp tech when I get those around the Ranch, and some portals in the field, because right now it takes nearly an in-game day just to run around, feed, collect and replace everything around the Ranch and its extensions. So yeah lol, kind of hard to dedicate time to hopefully run across Goldies. I have a full Ranch too though, with Largos of every slime making so many plorts that I can barely get an in-game day or two out in the field before I have to come back and harvest/replace my crops for them (I also have like 3 chicken coops, one for each type of hen). A few $300 plorts generally isn't worth the 50 of any other kind I can find laying around even just outside the ranch, so with only 4 Vac slots the gold plorts are usually the first thing I get rid of to make room for something else. Pretty cool at first, but now I ignore them. But it's best if you locate them, shoot them food from a distance, not scarying them, then moving in to get the plorts :) And they show up randomly, so I can't be sure to say if you had startled one in the morning that rest of the day you could find the slime again or even find plorts. Gold Plorts are the super rare resource in Slime Rancher. As far as I explored, gold slimes are pretty close to being pink slimes, since they'll eat any food you shoot near them. In this Slime Rancher Gold Slime Guide, we will explain to you how you can get Gold Plorts. You can't catch gold slimes, they are impossible to vac up, cause they are so valuable, it would be cheating if people could ranch Gold Slimes. Plus they can be anywhere, so I advise if you're hunting for plorts, you could possibly find gold plorts around any area in the world, so search the places well for the gold plorts. So gold plorts won't get eaten before you can find them. I remember times I found gold plorts with no sign of a gold slime in the area. Luckily for ranchers, other slimes aren't interested in gold plorts at all. Then you can move in and get the gold plorts. Gold Slimes can not be stored in the Vac Pack, and will run away if they spot you. Gold Slimes will produce gold plorts if hit by anything except Chickadoos and Plorts. There is a guaranteed one-time spawn of Gold Slimes in The Feral Vaults. So DON'T run at one! Just feed it from a far, it'll eat and plort and leave. Gold Slimes are very rare, and can be found spawning randomly across the map. They flee because they are scared & shy of humans, so they aren't too fond of ranchers. They can spawn anywhere, but if you approach any gold slime they will flee whether they had eaten or not. I haven't played Slime Rancher in a long time but I remember gold slimes.
